Subject: Homecoming mini-reunion

Class of 1973,

Rett reminds me that the first annual Encina mini reunion is coming up. 

The current plan is to schedule the mini reunion for the same day as the Encina 
homecoming game.

Date: Friday, October 30, 1998
Game: Encina vs River City
Location: El Camino
Game times: 530 and 730

The mini reunion (can somebody suggest a better name than mini reunion?) will be 
at some big watering hole like Chevy's??? It would be nice to have a location 
close to El Camino HS if anyone has a suggestion. People can go to the game if 
they're interested or stay at Chevy's if they're not. Hours of the mini reunion 
have not been set yet.

So mark Friday, October 30th on your calendar!

Somebody will be creating an invitation and they'll be a snailmailing to the 
class for those poor souls  without email.

Please let me know if you plan to attend so I can gauge interest. Give me a 
confidence level like 100% sure, 10% sure, 50% sure.

I'll put up something on the 73 homepage about the mini reunion and who plans 
to attend, etc. Perhaps we can get some of our old teachers to attend again!

If you would like to help with the mini reunion please let me know (newsletter, 
phoning classmates, handing out nametags, scouting locations).

If you have suggestions please let me know.

One thought I had would be to open this up and make this a general Encina reunion??? 
Or maybe invite the years 69-76 which overlapped with us? As much as I love you guys I think it would be fun to see some other non-73 alumni. If there were enough people you could even have different venues for each decade. I have no idea how much  interest there would be but I have lots of email addresses. Hundreds.

Waiting with bated breath to see whether this mini reunion thing will fly...
