Date: Friday, September 11, 1998 12:19 PM Subject: What's happening Class of 73, Evidentally a few of you actually enjoy getting these little notes from me. I actually get emails asking me what's happening... As I mentioned I received a Fedex package from Lucia last week and I was hoping to publish her pictures last weekend. However, we ended up going to Tahoe for the long weekend to visit my wife's aunt and uncle in Incline Village. We drove through a terrific thunderstorm on Saturday with hail and lightning. Sunday we went hiking and to the beach. Very relaxing. My older son started second grade last week so it's homework time again. Boy I don't remember having this much homework in grade school! So it wasn't until this week I had a chance to scan in Lucia's pictures. Lucia has some really fabulous pictures which I plan to publish over the weekend. I thought I was out of the woods but this morning I received a small crate containing Dawn James' pictures. I kid you not. Dawn took a LOT of pictures and I'm very appreciative that she UPSed them to me. It's going to take me a while to scan in all her pictures and add them to the website. Dawn has some really fantastic shots which I'm sure everyone will enjoy! Quality AND quantity! I had to order a new hard disk for my PC this week as I'm running out of disk space... Regarding the 73 homepage, I heard from Errol Egolf and added him to the directory and bios. There's a new tidbit from Jennifer Bailey, a picture of John Ward's family and the latest Top 5 Bob on the "Planet of the Apes". There's been a lot of activity in the Encina website. I've added many new alumni to the directories and quite a few bios to their respective class homepages.  See the What's New for details: I've convinced my sister Laurie Lau to be webmaster for the class of 77 so that's one more class coming online. It's hard to top the Rea sisters though, with Cindy doing the class of 68, Barbara the class of 62 and Christine the class of 70. The class of 68 homepage just came online last week and Cindy will be helping her sisters to get started. And Carol Markell 78 promises to get the class of 78 online soon. They just had their 20th reunion a few weeks ago. I heard from Randi Muller 62, who was at Encina's opening day back in 1959. She scanned some pictures from her yearbook which show Encina under construction! I'll be adding those pictures when I have time. Thanks Randi! Have a good weekend everyone! Harlan
