Date: Wednesday, August 19, 1998 1:16 PM Subject: After the reunion... Class of 73, REUNION COMMITTEE The reunion committee met last night and here are some general comments from the meeting. First, we actually made a few dollars, which was great since we were worried when the initial RSVPs were very light. At one point Charlene thought we might have to cancel or scale back our plans! Which is hard to believe after seeing the overflow crowd Saturday night. Second, start reunion planning earlier. Third, get a BIGGER room. The small room was largely due to the large number of people who did not RSVP. Fourth, extend the hours by starting earlier as the evening went by too fast. Fifth, to avoid headcount problem from this year, have an early price, late price and a really big "at the door" price to encourage RSVPs. Sixth, we'll print up more bio books for those who paid and didn't get one. Seventh, we'll order photo memory books for those who have requested one. They'll probably be about $10. ANNUAL MINI REUNION Rett Smart suggested that we have an annual informal mini reunion like the Grad Nite at Sudwerks and everyone seems to like this idea. Yeah Rett! With the large number of people with email, the thought is that maybe we could do one mass mailing each year and then coordinate with email. The second thought is that we could time the annual mini-reunion to coincide with the Encina homecoming game in October! This year's homecoming game is: Encina homecoming game Date: Friday Oct 30 Versus: River City at El Camino Time: 530 and 730 One possible venue is Chevy's on the river. It's huge and does not require any minimum tab. Sudwerks required a $200 guarantee in food/drinks to reserve the room. We're open to suggestions... Let me know if you would attend the annual mini reunion. WEBSITE Many people have asked me when pictures will be appearing on the website. The answer is, soon, very soon. I haven't done much on the website recently except to update the attendees list for the various events. If I  left anyone off please let me know. I've almost caught up with my non-reunion life at work and at home so I'll start publishing pictures from the reunion weekend soon. Many thanks to those of you who I have emailed pictures for identification. Technology is wonderful. And remember to get double prints of your reunion pictures and send me a set for the website! There are lots of people who I do not have pictures of. I note there are still some of you are there who have not sent in your bios for the homepage. They won't be in the bio booklet but it's not too late for the website! THANKS From the email I've received, it appears that everyone had a good time at the reunion activities. The general consensus seems to be that the website helped generate interest in the reunion and that email is a powerful communications tool. Debbie Lopes says "this was the best reunion ever". Thank you for all of your kind comments regarding the work done by the reunion committee and regarding my work on the website. It's been our pleasure! Harlan
